Well, I decided about a month ago that I definitely needed a babymoon - one final getaway before Baby Coleman's arrival. So...we booked a room at a B&B in Eureka Springs, Arkansas! The drive was quick, the weather was gorgeous, and the shopping was spot-on. And the breakfast? Very tasty. I tried not to veer too much from my somewhat-healthy pregnancy diet, and with the exception of a caramel apple (that's fiber, right?) and some hot chocolate, I did pretty well. Fruit was on the menu every morning. For some reason, the kiwi was the ripest piece in my fruit cup. Is kiwi even in season in October? We found ourselves doing the usual tourist things. We drove up to pose in front of the Christ of the Ozarks statue before browsing the local antique shops for aged goodies. We ended up leaving town with two jars of jam (muscadine and huckleberry - Taylor's favorites), a set of 600-count sheets (hey, they were on sale), and a t-shirt for the baby. I'm trying to resist buying baby clothes, but when you find one that's out-of-this-world adorable, how do you hold back?
Overall, it was a great trip that we will always remember. Not sure when we'll be taking another vacation, so I'm glad we took the opportunity to get away!
